Streaming Audio/Video
Separate audio/video and PowerPoint files

If you have low bandwidth, the above Producer files may take a very long time to download. An alternative is to open the audio/video file separately from the PowerPoint file. The lecture name is linked to a streaming audio/video file while the accompanying PowerPoint is linked to the jigsaw logo

When a lecture is available, a link on the table below will become active. Otherwise you will get a page not found response or the link will be inactive

In the some versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer (and Windows XP) , the video will appear in a bar on the left and the audio will start. The page that you are looking at now should remain as the right hand frame. Now click on the PowerPoint logo (jigsaw). The PowerPoint file will open in the right hand frame. The slides in the PowerPoint file can be changed with your mouse.

Remember to switch off the video/audio using the left control button before closing the video frame (otherwise the audio keeps running). This is currently a glitch in the  Explorer browser

If you are using other version of Explorer or Netscape 7, the Windows Media Player will open when you click on an audio video link. You should set your Media Player so that it will remain on top when you open the PowerPoint using the jigsaw logo. To do this go to Tools > Options > Player and check Display on top when in skin mode. You need to chose the skin 9 series default. Other skins disappear when you click on the PowerPoint to change the slide

Feedback on how this works is welcome
