2007 The 2007 course started in August. This year there are lectures as an audio-video slideshow. There are also downloadable mp3 audio files. Lectures will be added within a day or two or their taking place To access these files, please go here Please note: Animated PowerPoint slides in the Adobe Flash presentations constantly repeat their animations. Until we can solve this problem, we have added a "Pause Slide" button so that the viewer can stop the animation. On the video list, click on the right pointing arrow for the section that you want. The page will flick upwards. Click on the right pointing arrow against the various sections again and a video list for that section should appear. 2006 All of the lectures are available as streaming video in two formats:
We also have three downloadable formats:
These lectures have been recorded throughout the fall of 2006
2004-2005 In 2004 we used the integrated audio/video/PowerPoint in the Microsoft Producer format. These are high bandwidth but offer the best video. They have been successfully downloaded as far away as Australia but a high speed connection is essential. If you do not have a recent version of Microsoft Internet Explorer or PowerPoint 2002, you will need to go to the Microsoft site to get a recent browser and/or the plug-in for PowerPoint. Explorer will prompt you to get the PowerPoint plug-in if you do not have it on your computer. It is available free. To launch the lecture, click on the lecture title. Producer-PowerPoint should launch unless you do not have the PowerPoint plug-in. You will see loading, please wait at the top left. When enough of the file as streamed, this will be replaced with play. You may then start the presentation. Streaming will continue for some time after the file starts to play. In 2005, we used Windows Media Player (wmv) streaming video. The entire course is available in these formats
Your can also see the streaming audio/video without the accompanying PowerPoint which can be downloaded and opened separately. You will find these files here
Please feed back any information or comments to this e-mail address. Thank you for your help. Please note: Macintosh users Mac users should
use Safari rather than IE. The media files
may not play when a file is opened using IE explorer on
a Mac. The problem lies within internet explorer for Mac - not Media Player.
